blogging right after i reach home has become almost an everyday routine thingy. oh wells. guess i'm a little excited to share my day with ya! oh but there really isn't any interesting/new to share with you all.. unless if i relief certain classes bah.
i think i managed to keep a stern face in class today!!! haha proud of myself! (or rather... for several minutes. LOL i usually can't last that long..knowing me. oh man, not smiling is harD!!!! no wonder they said it only takes 14 muscles to smile and 72 to frown...) i took this P6 EM3 class and they begged me to let them go to the computer lab. i relented lah. but bad idea. HAHA i managed to get them to do their online assignments for awhile, and then the last 15 minutes...they were playing music on the computer already lah! (lucky no teachers came in.) oh well.. but at least they turned down the volume when i told them to, so it wasn't that bad. after 1 period they had recess, and i had another 1 period with them after recess. they wanted to go computer lab/library. i brought them to class instead and "lectured" them. (lol) [btw, "brought" becoz teachers have to bring their students to their classes after assembly and also after recess. and we also have to bring them down to the parade square after the dismissal bell has rung.. gee]
So in class, i managed to say sth like we are not going anywhere coz they don't know the meaning of following instructions. and then i spent the next... 2 minutes rattling bout discipline and stuff. haha (quite fun. but i felt that it was too short man!!! coz i dunno what else to say. i need practice.) they weren't exactly quiet at first lah. but i learnt that if u just stop talking, and look at them with a straight face, they will eventually shut their mouths. some students will even help by saying "quiet! teacher angry already!" and then i secretly "um chio" to myself.
oh but i malued myself lah. i think after awhile i got tired of looking fierce and when i was scolding this "ahbeng" student, he suddenly said sth like "cher, are u angry or happy ah? u look like u are happy when u are scolding." LOL i didn't know how to defend myself and so i said "what you think?" and then i walked away.
it's a challenge dealing with some students... those who just talk back to u and challenge wat u say... those who are not interested in studying and can't sit still during lessons. those who fight and shout in class... seriously, i wasn't expecting this when i asked to do relief teaching in a primary school. hmmm still figuring out a way to handle them. suggestions anyone???
and yay, it's friday! (and not an unlucky one this time!). i like fridays when i was schooling. i love it now that i'm working. haha in 6 years of softball trainings.. i dun recall having blisters on my feet. hmmm barely 3 weeks of work, i'm having cracked heels and blisters on my soles. *ouch* must be my mum's shoes i'm going to search for a pair! =) and i'm proud to say that i think i walk more naturally with heels now. hahaha and i'm seriously going to get something to take care of my poor heels. it's cracking "ugly-fully". ok. hideously.
wow. long entry. shall end off. yay. weekend!!! =)
